| Here are some specifics: a) Performance enhancements: new hardware *is* on the horizon. I can't be super specific, but faster/more cores, faster/larger harddrives connected to a faster/larger bus, more memory, etc - it is confirmed this money will go in part to hardware specific performance upgrades. b) The new search engine: It's much faster now, but it's currently on trial basis and eventually needs to be paid for. Good software costs good money =). This will be a retroactive performance upgrade ;). c) The wiki: a wiki is an online encyclopedia, with fully dynamic cross referencing, updating, discussion, and user groups. One current issue with the info stored on ttnet is that it isn't in a central data repository, it isn't cross referenced, and tech articles cannot be edited for correctness and added on to. The wiki will allow (approved) users to update and populate the knowledge base in real time, correct mistakes when they are found, extend technical articles, archive important Z information all the while saving each revision for posterity/accountability and allowing users to discuss changes and updates. The wiki is free, and will not cost anything to implement, however hardware specific performance upgrades will ensure that it does not have any ill effects on the current forum performance.
